An educational program where the child learns how natural soap is made from olive oil and herbs, enhancing the philosophy of recycling, hygiene and economy. The colors and scents of Cretan land blend harmoniously with the history and origins of soap, the nutritional value of olive oil, and its prominent position in Cretan diet. At the end of this experiential workshop the participants all make soap together, and each child takes their handmade soap with them. The program is addressed to nursery school children and pupils of all grades in Primary school.
An educational program where the child learns that the cycle of nature does not stop at our table. They learn concepts such as organic fertilizer, organic farming, disruptors, and food recycling. The experiential workshop involves a series of activities and games, where the child explores, touches the soil, observes earthworms, plays and learns in nature.
The educational program aims at developing children’s environmental intelligence. Through their direct contact with an ecosystem, children discover the interdependent relationships between living beings.
In order to participate in the program, students are previously instructed by their school to bring their own “natural rubbish”.
The program is addressed to nursery school children and pupils of all grades in primary school.
Seed rescue is an environmental educational program aimed at understanding the seed life circle, the variety of seeds (color, size, shape), the association of seeds with our diet, the importance of preserving varieties, but also the importance of eating seasonally. Through a range of activities and games, children familiarize themselves with day-to-day work in an orchard, learn about seeds and about planting seasonal vegetables, touch the earth, smell the soil, and ultimately enhance their environmental consciousness.
The program is addressed to nursery school children, pupils of all grades in Primary and Secondary Schools.
